Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the AI off the shelf website and related services (the “Service”), operated by Quantum Consults LLC (“AI off the shelf”, “we”, “us”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to form a binding contract where you live, to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms for it.

2. Your account

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping your login credentials secure, and for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly at support@aiofftheshelf.com if you suspect unauthorized use.

3. Using the Service

You agree not to:

• break any law or infringe anyone else’s rights;
• scrape, crawl, or harvest content or data from the Service by automated means without our written permission;
• interfere with, disrupt, or try to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems;
• reverse engineer the Service, except where the law expressly permits it;
• upload content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, or infringing, or that contains malware;
• impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of the reading lists, notes, reviews, and other content you submit (“Your Content”). You grant AI off the shelf a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and reproduce Your Content only as needed to operate and improve the Service. If you make a list public, others may view it. This license ends when you delete Your Content or your account, except for copies held in backups for a limited period or content others have already shared.

5. Our content and intellectual property

The Service, including its design, software, text, graphics, and book cover artwork created for AI off the shelf, is owned by Quantum Consults LLC or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended purpose. Book titles, author names, and third-party trademarks belong to their respective owners.

6. Third-party links and purchases

The Service may link to third-party websites, including retailers where you can buy books. We do not control and are not responsible for those sites, their content, or any purchase you make from them. Some links may be affiliate links that earn us a commission at no extra cost to you.

7. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal information, and our Data Deletion Policy explains how to delete it.

8. Changes to the Service

We may add, change, or remove features, or suspend or end the Service, at any time. We will try to give reasonable notice of changes that materially affect you.

9. Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms or if required by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including 4, 5, 10, 11, and 12) will survive.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. Book recommendations are for general interest only, and we do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, QUANTUM CONSULTS LLC WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR US$100. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Quantum Consults LLC from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from Your Content or your breach of these Terms.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts located in the State of Oregon, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim locally.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify you by email or through the Service before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated Terms.
